This device is designed in accordance with the requirements of 'water level alarm devices for cargo holds, ballast tanks and dry tanks of bulk carriers' in the SOLAS Convention, Chapter XII, Article 12. The system configuration is reasonable, safe and reliable. Suitable for water intrusion monitoring and alarm in cargo holds, ballast tanks and dry holds of bulk carriers.
Device function
This device consists of a main alarm control box located in the engine room control room, an extended alarm instrument panel in the cab, a safety barrier and water level sensors located at various measurement points. The water level sensor is installed at the rear end of the cargo hold or near the midline. When the water level in the cargo hold reaches 0.5 meters, the device emits an audible and visual pre-alarm; when the water level in the cargo hold reaches 15% of the total depth of the tank and does not exceed 2 meters, the device emits an audible and visual main alarm; when the water level in a dry or empty tank When the water level is higher than 0.1 meters, the device will sound and light alarm; for any ballast tank in front of the anti-collision bulkhead, when the water level reaches no more than 10% of the tank capacity, the device will sound and light alarm.
Working principle
The pre- and main water level sensors of the device are used to detect the water level in the cargo hold. When the water level of the measured tank reaches the set alarm point, the water level sensor outputs a water level alarm signal, and the signal is sent to the main alarm instrument box of the device through the safety barrier, and simultaneously Sound and light alarms are issued, and the extended alarm instrument panel located in the cab also issues water level sound and light alarms. The device has functions such as silence, flash elimination, dimming, over-control, self-test, main power loss alarm, and sensor failure alarm. This device supports multi-point detection and alarm.
